Dr. Hartsfield founded Santa Rosa Orthopaedics in 1980 and practices Orthopaedics with special interests in the areas of Sports Medicine and treatment of knee problems. He has over 3000 total knee replacements and is on the forefront of Uni Knee Replacements (half total knee). The new Uni-knee procedures require only a minimum incision and just overnight in the hospital.
Dr. Hartsfield is a veteran of the Vietnam War having served as a battalion surgeon in the First Cavalry and was an Orthopaedic Surgeon in the last M.A.S.H. hospital. His military include the Bronze Star and the Army Commendation Medal.
Dr. Hartsfield has served as Co-Medical Director for the Andrews Institute since it opened. He serves as team physician for Milton, Pace and Navarre High Schools.
